Proud proprietors Tim and Christina Young have a passion for great food & wine. For years they have been entering cooking competitions around the country, winning everything from BBQ championships to chili cook offs. They competed against some of the countries top chefs in The Food Network’s Great American Tailgate Challenge and won. The competition was based on food taste, presentation and quality. All of these areas also happen to be very important to the success of The Village Market.

For several years they traveled to the best markets and butcher shops in the country to get ideas for their first store. After gathering bit’s and pieces from stores all around the country they decided they needed a change from corporate America and wanted to take their love of food and wine to a whole new level. Based on demographic research, traffic patterns and surrounding communities they decided to break ground in new John’s Creek Walk live and work community. Nearly 2 years later they were able to open the doors to the first Village Market location. They built a place they would be compelled to shop, eat, and work at every day.

Tim and Christina want you to feel like family the minute you step in the door. The environment has been designed to be comfortable and cozy for our guests. We strive to be an old fashioned mom and pop shop where people remember your name and are eager to assist & educate you with your selections anywhere in the store. This takes a qualified, dynamic and passionate staff. Our team is continually trained and skilled in identifying the wants and needs of our customers, earning their trust, and giving them the best shopping experience possible.

The Village Market team prides themselves on offering the highest quality products in town. One of the categories we are most proud of is our meat offering. The Village Market carries meat that qualifies for the top 5% of meat in the country. Our meat program is managed very closely to ensure we are offering you the absolute best quality and best tasting meat anywhere! How do we know our beef is better? We didn’t win barbeque competitions without knowing great meat. When in doubt….we personally grill and taste it. It’s a tough job – but someone has to do it! We don’t put anything in our cases until we feel 100% confident you will love the flavor and quality of the meat you select.

Whether shopping for a gift or for the perfect selection paired with your dinner our wine department is where you will find fantastic wines from all around the world. We specialize in handpicked, limited production wines representing the best values. Our duty is to ensure that our wines have beautiful balance, and taste delicious. Many of our selections are from producers or places off the beaten track – and offer better value and / or flavor interest than similar, but more heavily promoted wines. We work with small production growers to bring in artisanal offerings you simply won’t find anywhere else.
